He just smacked my husband and DH said "ok I'm leaving you alone then" and he walked away and DS grabbed his hand and went with him and ds said "bye mama!"

DH was like well that worked well!

It was DH's birthday and he came home early to see the kids to bed. He asked DS "do you know why I'm happy today? He said "because 'I' said happy birthday!"

I bought her new shoes today and they have harder soles than her previous shoes. She thought they were really funny so she stomped around the kitchen dancing for a while when we got home lol.

"Mommy, poop makes me happy!" (while sitting on the potty)

saying goodnight tonight, i said "don't let the bed bugs bite" (like i do every night and he reciprocates), but tonight he replied with "don't let the mommy bite" and he started laughing at his own joke. I also said "have a good night" and he changed it to "have a good water!".

The other day J was talking while eating breakfast and I wasn't really paying much attention (I was in the other room), and he yells out, "mama!" So I came in and asked him what's up and he replies, "I was just tryin' to talk by myself and daddy talking back at me. I just trying'a talk by myself!"
I clarified and said, "you're trying to talk to yourself?"
He said, "yes! I trying to talk by myself and daddy just won't stop talking back to me!"

Haha I was dying laughing. It was so funny.

I told LO we were out of peanut butter but she could try almond butter. My little Frozen fan shouted "I want the Anna butter!! Let it go!"

E has croup and has completely lost her voice, so everything she tries to say comes out as a deep creaking rasp. Today she's been sounding like a singer for a death metal band when she says, "mama" or, "dada" or whatever else. It had been cracking me up all day, it is so cute and pathetic!

On holiday, the resort we were staying in had nightly children's "entertainment". One of the features was the presenter getting out a glove puppet and going round all the children (sat in a circle on the dance floor) and letting them stroke the puppet or pretending to eat out of their hands. E was one of the youngest children there and, rather than sit and wait for the presenter to bring the puppet, she instead followed behind her with her bun-bun (knitted bunny head with a blanket body), thrusting it into all the children's faces! So they stroked the glove puppet, then met bun-bun straight after! She had such a serious little face - DH and I were laughing so hard!
