Stratton by Westwood designs ( got it at buy buy baby) will convert to a toddler, then headboard for a full size bed. I like it a lot, We could use a coupon on it too for 20% when we went to purchase it. It came to about $400.

We have the Stork Craft Monza II (in white) which I think is super cute and mod looking without a crazy price point. Very happy with it.

only issue is that the reviews say 'standard' mattresses are on the small side, so i had a worker at bru put a mattress in it. i could definitely fit 1 finger on each side, so I'm on the hunt for an affordable mattress that will be a little larger. anyone want to help?

We got the Graco Lauren as well.

We have the Graco Lauren in natural wood. If your LO is a chewer, I'd suggest sticking with light colored wood. We didn't know our LO was a chewer until one day I put my hand on one side and found a ditch where she apparently likes to rub her bottom teeth; wasn't obvious unless you looked close. However we have friends whose son chewed and they have a cherry crib that has obvious teeth marks all over it.

We have the Eastside Island by Babi Italia.
It is a 4 in 1 crib as well, and I absolutely LOVE how low to the ground it is. It's traditional looking but still kind of unique... we have gotten TONS of compliments on it.

We also got a Sealy organic soybean foam mattress, and it was only $100 because we got it from COSTCO!!!!

We have the Summer Infant Brayden. My mom got it at Babies R Us for like half price because there was a sale and she traded in the crib I used as a baby. It was easy to put together and looks great! Plus it can convert to a toddler bed and full size bed.

This is the crib we got: http://www.nfm.com/DetailsPage.aspx?ProductID=34617472 (it was on sale when we bought it) and it is able to convert.
We did however we decided against the additional piece to do so as we will hopefully have baby #2 by the time it would need to be converted to a toddler bed.

@sorrycharlie the sealy soy foam I'm much cheaper on amazon. $159 @ babies r us or $111 on amazon right now. That is the mattress we are getting.

We have the Babymod Olivia. It was a gift, but I think it is only 299 even bundled w/ the mattress. Love the simple modern look.

@mediagirl: It was my understanding that all the Ikea cribs convert to a toddler bed but not all the way to a twin. Is that not the case?

The Ikea Sundvik is at the top of our list at the moment. I love the clean lines and the reasonable price.

We bought a stationary crib from IKEA too, it was the right price and I don't need it to convert to a twin sized bed.

We have a white Graco non-convertible crib. We chose non-convertible because we planned on transitioning him to a twin sized bed (skipping the toddler sized bed) based on some advice I received from my friends. I wish I knew the name of the crib though.
