@BabyBoecksMom: aww, what a smart cookie!

My LO rolled over for the first time on purpose yesterday (she's done it a few times accidentally over the past few weeks). Today, she rolled back to front and front to back about 20x! She was grinning from ear to ear, totally tickled with herself.

And yesterday, at the end of a 3 hr plane flight, the person across the aisle leaned over and said, "You make it look easy." I was proud of both of us.

LO surprised me with a 4 line prayer she learned in her preschool. She just turned two a few months ago. I had never heard it before so she taught it to me by saying it again and again. She clapped when I finally got it all right.

Baby and i just came back from London solo and the woman sitting in front of me on the 9 hour flight said "wow, I didn't even realize there was a baby on the plane!"

LO learned the sign for "more" in just one week and has been doing it every day she is only 8 months so I was proud since I thought it would take longer.

DS is 11 months so we have just started taking him to the park ( it was a loooong winter!). The park right beside us doesn't have the baby swings so DH and I just put him on our lap to swing but on Tuesday we went to a different park and I put him in the baby swing and he started pumping! I only had to push him the first time and he was in it for a good 5 mins! I have a video on my iPhone, I wish I could share it!

Even though she was a little overtired, DD was an absolute gem last night at our friends' little guys birthday event. She wasn't clingy or scared at all, very curious and playful. My little girl is getting so big!

LO just completed her 8th flight and was the best baby! She took her bottle during take-off, fell asleep as soon as she was done and slept the entire flight. When we got off the flight I put her in the sling, which woke her up for a couple of minutes. When we disembarked the pilot said "bye " and she waved and then fell back asleep; slept all through our layover and slept the entire second flight! Woot woot so proud!!

We have a similar experience, he's calling everything (usually with fur) a doggie right now. We went to a petting zoo and he called the deer a doggie. We walk around my IL's neighborhood and see dogs everywhere- doggie, doggie, doggie! Daddy picks us up at the airport- doggie! We go home to his dog after a week away- nothing.

He walked up to me yesterday as I was getting ready for work and says very clearly- Booba (one of our nicknames for him). So I fed him breakfast

DS has been REALLY good lately and it's been about 2 years since we've gone a full day without a tantrum! He just turned 4...I think the terrible 3's are finally leaving us!

DD, at 11 months, spent her entire bath last night washing herself with her wash cloth. It was the cutest thing!

Ellie has been taking Lorelei in her lap and reading to her (mostly in secret). It just makes me so happy to see her showing love for and thoughtfulness towards her sister that way.

Lorelei has started trying to feed her toys. She'll take a fork or spoon and then hold it to a toy's mouth and make munching noises. It is so adorable!

Last night, there were absolutely no pacifier wakeups (or wake-mommy-ups as baby is half asleep). There have lately been 2-5/night so I was THRILLED that lo slept 11 hours straight!

She also got into the sitting position just a little while ago this morning and she's been practicing it! She's almost eight months and has been sitting up for a couple months now but she hadn't been able to totally get up on her own til now! On to crawling...
