I've been trying to find a coming home outfit for McBebe! I can't decide if I should get something gender neutral, or get a boy outfit and a girl outfit, and return the unused one (since we're Team Green).
I need some inspiration, so please share your coming home outfits! McBebe is due next month, so double points if you had/are having a summer baby!

I am glad you posted this, I can't decide either! We have TONS of cute outfits in everything except Newborn sizes! It will be so hot here, I don't know what to bring the baby home in either.
It's not that big a deal to me since the drive from hospital to home is about 5 minutes...but I still want it to be cute!

we might go out and choose one together - but this was given to me as a gift from my best friend, and I'm obsessed with it. we just aren't sure if it'll be the coming home outfit - sometimes I get weirdly emotional about things like that, and might want to pick it out myself, LOL!
ETA - we are due in September - so I lost points for no summer

We were Team Green as well. We ended up having a girl so she wore a dress that was mine when I was a baby. It was newborn sized and had short sleeves and a bonnet. Our boy outfit was a newborn size dressy romper with matching hat. We will be returning it and getting something girly. Just a note- if you shop at a specialty store (we did for the boys outfit) see if they give cash back or exchange only. That way you don't get surprised

I can't remember exactly which outfit she came home in - to be honest, I was soooo scared and bad at putting on her clothes the first few days that she wore whichever outfit had the largest head opening and was easiest to put on her!
She did have the most stylin' shades though (and blanket)!! Let me see if I can figure out how to post a picture...

@yoursilverlining: On a different subject....lol I have that same exact car seat! How do you like it so far? I was told my a friend to get some head support for it, do you think the gray insert is enough?

@aMohror: I think it's enough. LO fits in very well and her head doesn't wobble around when we go walking. We bought a JJ Cole insert for it, but the nurses at the hospital said that would be "too much" and that the insert is enough, so thats what we stuck with.

@lydg: I just saw your thread! haha, I think I will not buy one yet just to see how she does first, then if her little head it bobbing around then I will pick one up! I know people use the head supports for many things though, bouncy chairs, swings, and strollers so I'm sure you will still have use for yours if you don't use it with the car seat!

My mom gave me the outfit that myself and both my brothers came home it. It was a little crocheted sweater, booties and a bonnet in white, green and yellow. I put a white shirt with a big bow on the front and a pair of green pants with it.

I had a cute outfit picked that my little guy peed all over, so he ended up wearing the bits and pieces of what was left in the diaper bag (lol).
