Sometimes it's easy to get caught up on what goes wrong, but sometimes things go right and we should celebrate those moments!
This weekend we tried DD in her big girl bed (queen sized floor bed) and there was no trouble at all. Slept through the night, didn't fuss, didn't climb out of bed. Like a dream!!!

I don't know if I can take credit for it but E just started doing "So big!" this past weekend, which was very exciting for us, lol.

We'll get there. My goal is to have So Big/Touchdown by our college's first football game August 31st! haha
She now says "up!" with her hands held up and when you say give mommy kisses she gives a nice lick on the cheek.

@LuLu Mom: Haha whenever we tried before he'd give me this....very condescending look, lol. Like "You look silly doing that, and you expect me to??" But now he's all about it! And when I ask him for a kiss he tries to bite my lips!!!

I've managed to take LO out on my own a couple times now. I even changed her diaper in the restroom at the mall! Yes, that was something that scared me. It's the little victories, right?

DS has started giving me one long glorious stretch at night. It's only 4-5 hours, but that feels like heaven after 1.5 hours at a time!

LO got a little better on the changing table during the weekend. I ignored his behavior. It seemed to work. He got attention when he's quiet and not squirmy. I still have to dress him on the go, but it's a small turn of the corner for him.

@prettylizy: Definitely. He's gone all crazy since he's almost 12 months old (Wednesday). It's like a huge growth spurt coupled with developmental leaps. Learning to not give him attention on the changing table keeps the tantrums at bay. He screamed at me a few days ago when I did the changing. By that point, I was so tired with him and DH, I just didn't care, so I can handle the screams.

@Bookish: That's amazing! I've done one restaurant nappy change so far and I shook all the way through it! I was all fingers and thumbs, couldn't find anything in the bag....!
My small victory today - it was DH's first day back at work and I coped on my own all day. I managed a shower and I even went out for a walk.

We've been working on transitioning to whole milk and dropping bottles this week (LO will be 12 months on Sat) and he's been drinking his milk from a sippy like a champ since day 1 of the weaning process *knock on wood* 
2 bottles down, 1 to go!
I love celebrating the successes!

We transitioned to whole milk with no problems this week! I thought she would reject it but she drank it just fine.

@sumer08: AHHH! I tried transitioning to her straw cup but she won't have it. She still prefers to drink her milk in her bottle. And warm. She doesn't like it cold.

I transitioned N from the PNP in our room to his crib this week. He's sleeping slightly longer stretches now and I'm able to put him down drowsy, rather than holding him until he's been asleep for 20 min.

we moved LO to whole milk yesterday! not sure how much of a "success" this is, since all I did was hand him a bottle of full milk instead of formula. he didn't even bat an eye
