DH and I have been using Cozi gold for a year and it's not working for us. We love the text alert, but my DH doesn't get any text alerts and I get them sometimes. We tried resetting it and even sought help from Cozi, but it's not working like it should. We tried Google calendar yesterday and didn't like it. Any recommendations? We want something that send text alerts.

We use google cal. Check out any.do http://lifehacker.com/the-coolest-extra-features-in-any-do-509407362 I didn't use it for the shared but the regular app was great.

@bluestriped bee: I'm not sure. We let our gold membership expire. We are using google calendar now and my hubby figured out a way to send text via email forwarding so we are both getting texts.

We tried Cozi, just the regular one and haven't upgraded, and I just feel like the interface is so busy. Maybe it is more useful if you have kids that are older and also have devices? We really like google calendar and that just syncs to our iphone calendars. I am going to try to figure out a way to get text reminders about events! Or at least for my husband to get text reminders

@BunnyDragon: oh, I'm trying the free version now. I'll see how I like it. The App Store shows 4.5 stars so that's good.
I did try activating my text feature but haven't gotten the text yet. Maybe the text feature is still an issue. I do have the app installed so maybe sending messages through the app will work.
