Our almost 4 year old refuses to sleep in her own bed, she hates it and says she's lonely. We are planning on moving soon into a transitional rental while we find a house to buy (or build.) I'm wondering if having our almost 4 year old and 18 month old share a room would be okay? Anyone have experience, do they sleep or keep each other awake?

There's a bit of silliness AT bedtime, but in general my 4 and 2 year old enjoy sharing a room - they started at 1 and 3. No one keeps anyone awake at night; we've even had situations where one kid had a nasty stomach bug involving multiple vomiting bouts/sheet changes, and the other one didn't wake up! My 4 year old has just started to say that her sister is "bothering" her at bedtime, but I'm 99% sure it's a stalling tactic and nothing else!

our three boys shared for awhile. like @PinkElephant: said there is some bedtime silliness but once they are asleep they usually dont wake each other up.

My friend has 3 kids all 2 years apart; they share a room and everything's good! The only thing is the youngest one (2.5) needs mom in there for a while to settle down. The older is 6, and middle is 4.

My girls talk before they go to sleep but they usually stay asleep. LO 2 wakes up sometimes and never wakes up her sister.
