DD got a pair of "perfection" brand for her first walking shoes. We took her to a mom and pop shoe store to get fitted and the salewoman could tell how she walked in each of the different pairs and which one was best for her. Her next pair was stride rite which she has also done really well in.

Do you have a Nordstrom near you? We've gotten great shoes for LO there; with soft soles for early walkers and rubber/harder soles for once they really master walking. Stride-Rite is one brand I know we like.

Have you checked out See Kai Run's Smaller line? My LO has those and Robeez Mini shoes.. I think the Smaller ones are more comfy (a bit wider).

We also went to Nordstroms and were pointed towards Stride Rites. LO loved them!

I would definitely go to a store so your LO can try them on. My LO ended up walking the best in a pair of stride rites. I didn't get them til he was REALLY walking though. In the just starting to walk stage, I stuck to robeez.

@Smurfette: I just put LO in her first pair of See Kai Run Size 3s this morning . . . they're definitely a little big on her, but they seem to be a better fit than the 9-12 month Smaller by See Kai Run shoes that I bought for her (which are a little bigger than the size 3s). Here is what she has on today:

@Smurfette: I know . . . I am currently drooling over the Adalynn Silver, Berry (stars!), and Red (hearts!) sneakers. DH is going to keeeeeeel me . . . . I haven't bought them yet--they are still my mah shopping cart--but they are just so cute!

Did I mention that I already bought her 3 pairs of Smaller by SKR? : / (although they are in the 9-12 month size). The 2 pairs of Size 3s I have for her I bought MONTHS ago, before I fully appreciated just how tiny her feet are!

@MsLipGloss: Do it!!! I think that I am going to be in trouble once R starts wearing shoes every day. She is getting so close to walking.
Can you return the smaller 9-12?

I got the Charlotte black and silver, Evelyn pink, and Cody Hot pink. Then yesterday I ordered Evelyn navy and Devlin. I really wanted to get the Erica but I told myself she had enough.
My friend has given me some size 3 shoes from her daughter, but they aren't as cute as SKR ones.

@MsLipGloss: Nope!! Especially if you know that they go with her clothes.

@MsLipGloss: I forgot that center has uniforms. When do they start wearing them? Yeah, I couldn't spend $40 on one pair for LO either. But the others are so cute. I am sure the red hearts will end up on sale.

@Smurfette: Soooooo, confession time . . . I just bought the Adalynn in Red in both 3 and 4 . . . Hell, pretty sure this is the only baby I will ever have, so, that's that! But, c'mon . . . .

@MsLipGloss: Well now that I see the heart ones, how could you resist?? They all are so cute. I can't wait to see what they have for spring/summer.
