When did you start putting shoes on LO on a regular basis?
My LO is almost 10 months, and I never put shoes on her yet, she isn't walking though and just starting to pull up on things.
Should I start putting shoes on her?

I didn't put them on regularly until she was frequently pulling up to stand, and even then only if we'd be outside for a while, like at the park. Occasionally I'd put cute little impractical ones on but they always fell off.

While DS was cruising and standing, I only put on shoes (soft soled ones) when we went outside. My DS walked independently right at 10 months and we bought him flexible soled shoes from Stride Rite at that point.

I've put shoes on J anytime we go outside to play since he's been crawling (don't they scrape their feet crawling without shoes?), but only the really soft sole ones like Roobez. Now that he's walking he wears the stiffer soles like PediPeds but he's more comfortable in the Roobez still. He never wears shoes inside

We only put them on if we are going outside. We have a pair of robeez since he's only crawling.

My kids both started wearing Bobux soft soles once they started to pull up and cruise on a regular basis.

We were team barefoot until he was actually walking consistently and not crawling or cruising, like at 12.5-13 months, and then we moved to Stride Rite SRTS. He has wide feet and is very tall and skinny so he was falling a lot - still does actually. It's like his long gangly limbs throw off his center of gravity all the time. So having a very sturdy, stable, well fit shoe was important to me.

I still don't always put shoes on her. But i around cruising/walking age. I also personally feel like around a certain age (9/10 months) they look more dressed/put together with shoes on.

We skipped soft soled shoes because I really didn't care if she wore shoes inside (I take mine off inside so why shouldn't she?)We started when she was walking outside, which was allowed at daycare starting at 11 months.

What about if you are going out and running errands? Baby will not be playing or crawling outside, just held or in a cart.

With DS1 who was a Nov baby, we didn't put shoes on him until he was walking the following year in October.
With DS2, who is a July baby, we've been putting DH's old saddle boots on him this winter when we go out just to keep his feet warm

I think I started pretty much at 10 months too, so that if we were out and she wanted to stand and pull up she could.

@MrsBrewer: with ds we just did socks or barefoot in the summer before he was walking. I do the same for dd (9m).

My 1 year old just recently (as in 2 days ago) started to keep socks / shoes on her feet. She is pretty much barefoot at home and in socks (when she will keep them on) when we are out. I'm trying to get her used to shoes though as she will be walking soon.

If I wasn't planning on letting him crawl/walk around, I just put socks on him and put shoes in the diaper bag in case he insisted on getting down
