I'm a new mom and want to go to the grocery store with my one month old tomorrow. Do I just keep her in the car seat and put in the shopping cart?

yep! that's what I used to do.

@sfishel: Do you have any babywearing gear? That's probably the easiest way to shop with a baby!

@sfishel: it's hard to fit anything in the cart with the car seat in there (I don't put it on the front seat, too paranoid) so I would baby wear if you can!

I was able to fit a good amount of groceries around the infant seat.

i put the carseat on the front seat when I have to, but my grocery store has shopping carts with a plastic piece that folds down over the front seat that allows you to actually belt the car seat onto it. Maybe other stores will have something similar.

I put the carseat inside the cart.

I wore her in the Ergo until 7 months. It was nice and snuggly, and she never cried in there.

I put the car seat inside the cart and put the groceries around it, or used the snap and go and put the groceries in the basket underneath. Bring a list and don't plan to stay long.

I either wore her, or put the bucket in the cart and put groceries around her. The best carts are the double-decker ones...room for baby and groceries!

I found it easier to wear my lo in my ergo (with an insert at that age) or a mei tai because I didn't have to worry about walking away from the cart or strange hands reaching for her! If you choose to keep lo in the car seat, def. put it inside the cart and not on top ... On top is super dangerous

ergo! or front of cart! you can fit a lot in the top and underneath!
