I have floor length blackout curtains from LOs old room that I would like to use in his new room. Problem is, his bed sits under the window in the new room so I can't use floor length. They will have to be shortened by several feet. This is an old house and the windows sit high up on the wall. Ideas for shortening them without cutting and hemming? They are nice so I don't want to cut them.
I was thinking to maybe use safety pins or possibly fold them and hem them but I am afraid if I let them out the old hemline would show (it is a suede like heavy fabric). Or somehow 'bustling' the curtains with buttons and loops.
I don't really want to buy new ones! Really want to use what we already have since this is a rental I don't want to invest any money in decor.
