Sadie had her 2 month shots today, and did not take it well. Her leg got really swollen & she was clearly in a lot of pain. I gave her some Tylenol around 5:45, and she's been sleeping since shortly after (it's 8:45 now). She normally eats at 8:30 & is bathed and in bed by 9:30. Obviously her normal schedule is out the window tonight, but I'm not sure if I should wake her to eat. I know everyone says, "Never wake a sleeping baby!" but she's really out & she hasn't eaten since 5 (almost 4 hours ago). What would you do?

Can you dream feed her?

@sera_87: She is REALLY out! She kind of sucks at dream feeding, and with her being so out, I'm afraid to waste the formula! ha

@photojane: then I would just let her sleep. She'll wake up when she's hungry.

We let B sleep after his 2 month shot.

@sera_87: @wheres_c: She's in her swing. Should I just swaddle her & move her into her bed?! Or just leave her and expect her to wake up sometime soon?

I would let her sleep. Maybe give her another hour or so in the swing and then move her?

@photojane: do you use a breathing monitor (angelcare?) in the bed? If so I would move her....I wouldn't worry about swaddling...we don't bother if B is asleep because trying to swaddle him wakes him up.

@wheres_c: No.. she still sleeps in her RNP. She hates the crib, so we just put the RNP in her room. I'm thinking about just camping out here on the couch until she wakes up. I'm exhausted! I think I cried as much as she did today.

I let Rowan sleep as much as she wanted after her shots. She was super cuddly and sleepy after hers.

@photojane: hope she's back to normal soon! shots stink. my LO has never slept a minute extra after them though, so at least you have a positive side effect

My son had his 2 months shot last week. I let him sleep. He woke up on his own when he was hungry. He was miserable and I felt horrible that he had gotten 4 shots, then had a fever a day later. I'm not going to let him have 4 shots moving forward.

If I remember correctly I woke to feed and do bedtime routine (which was pretty short back then!) and she went back down after!

C slept for like 16 hours straight after her 2 month shots.
