I've been debating this... the pros and cons of it. What do you think?
I think it's totally weird being friends with my mom, and my mom's friends, and my grandma on facebook... idk why it's weird to me but it is.

Hahaha! Or maybe just Generations X + Y only... I hate seeing posts from my friends' nieces and nephews. They are so annoying/wannabe thug/slutty!

@HabesBabe: I suppose if that were the case, other social media platforms for other generations would pop up.

How? I mean.... do we have to quit when we graduate? I love connecting with my grandma on facebook.

@pastemoo: remember you needed a .edu address to join? I suppose that's why they expanded it, then the first generation of students were no longer students.

I think they should disable the ability to be friends with your parents.

I think it was definitely more fun when it was just friends our age, but I don't know how that would work.

I like having everyone on there. It makes it easier to share pictures of lo with family and friends. Also..... I'm not in college anymore and far from it. So does that mean that I wouldnt be allowed on? I haven't had my college email for years.

I like everyone being there because it's easier for me to connect with family who live in the states and share pictures and videos of C.
However, I wish you had to be like... 18 to use it.

I just wish they had an age limit (like, 18?) that was strictly enforced. I had to unfriend my niece because I got tired of reading her immature crap bashing everyone. I actually love being able to communicate with my aunts over FB, because they and my mom don't have a great relationship and I'm glad I can reconnect with them!
I think my bigger annoyance is the fact that we are all presenting our best face on the site, and I think it can create unrealistic ideals of how everyone is doing. If that makes sense.

I guess it doesn't bother me because it kind of grew the same time I did. I mean, I had it in college back when it was edu only, and then after I graduated and finished my posting of party pictures and bar nights phase, my older relatives started joining, so it didn't bother me. Now that I have kids, it's a great way to share pictures and info with them. I actually would probably have gotten rid of facebook by now if I didn't connect with my family over it. I could give a shit less about what some idiot I went to high school with is doing now, you know? (I have hidden half of my "friends" from my newsfeed and this election season has me hiding even more!)

@Rock n Roll: I am about to hide some political friends!

@autumnlove: I even hide ones I agree with when they're getting too aggressive. It's bad enough that I live in Ohio so that every commercial break is nothing but political commercials, but I have to read it on facebook, too? No thanks! I don't like to be told what to think.

I quit Facebook once they opended it up to the general population. Sigh, it was great while I was in college, though!

yes/no - i've lucked out that ILs, parents, aunts/etc for the most part are not on fb... but i don't like receiving fb friend requests from middle/high school sunday school students...

I think there should be a cut off age, and I am not way into the teens on there, but I have a ton of friends that didnt go to college.
