I've been getting a call from someone who I think is a debt collector. They call and say who the call is for (which is my former employer) and then it cuts off on the voicemail. I got the calls before while working there and told them. They said it was from a worker's comp claim and that they were working it out. So I thought it was over.

I started getting them again a little while later after I stopped working there. I tried to answer and talk to a real person (it's a recording) and nothing happened when I tried that, the call was ended. I tried to call it back and got nowhere. I've tried to get my old workplace to figure it out and they claimed they did.

Since I've tried to get in contact with them in almost every way possible and get this settled, should I just block it? I don't know if they're calling for a more recent claim or something and somehow my number was put down. I don't understand why my number was ever their contact number to begin with. Plus, this claim would have been almost 3 years ago. I just didn't know if anyone else had any other suggestions to get them to stop besides blocking the number since I don't know if it's a fluke in the system or what.
