Yes I think there should be some sort of disciplinary action. But I hope he doesn't completely lose his job.

Just to clarify, I would fire him; a breach of trust of this magnitude is a big deal. However if possible, I'd make sure he didn't face charges and could leave without a record.

I totally understand emotionally where he was coming from.
But he should probably be fired. Leaking photos from the State Police is a pretty big deal.

I agree that he should not have released the picture. I am also wondering what the long term legal implications might be. Is this something that the defense team can take advantage off during a trial?
