I've gotten to the point where I'm not using our diaper bags when I go out with the kids anymore. If I'm taking them to the church nursery/my mom's where they'll be away from me and need stuff I still use them but not all the time.
So I'm planning on getting a new purse/bag. I need inspiration! I like bigger bags (but not HUGE) and I'd like it to look fun but also be sophisticated and versatile. Lol.

@swedishfish: That's the only thing I'd struggle with too. I will definitely need a purse organizer or something if I get it. I've toyed with the idea of just organizing things into separate containers inside the tote but I'm not sure I'd stay on top of it. I tend to just toss things in on my way out the door!

I've always had a big bag but right now I still use the diaper bag but not enough to take it with me in stores. So I got a Kate Spade Crossbody bag in tan. I love how light it is! I just put my keys, wallet and phone in there. If I need more I carry my KS Stevie diaper bag.

@Running Elley: im in the market for a new bag too! I just got this last week (as bag #1) and now I am searching for a black leather one (as bag #2).
I got mine in Fuchsia but it comes in lots of colors and the should strap makes it a tote or a side bag. So convenient and lots of pockets..

But when I saw more pictures of it I did like the useability of it but the size looks a little small for me. Almost perfect!

@Raindrop: are you looking at the correct one? I am looking right now and don't even see the tote at all. I see the "crossbody" and the "satchel", but the one titled "tote" is not on there as far as I can see. It is in stores (near me at least).

Kate Spade has a new line called Saturday and there are some seriously cute bags. I love all the different sized satchels. Especially the bright pink.
