How old was your LO when you first showered with LO alone in the house? I'm barely comfortable going to the bathroom while LO is in the other room at this point!

She was 1 week old when DH went back to work. I always showered while she was sleeping. I left the door open so I could hear if she woke up, and I was in and out in around 5 minutes!

I shower while my LO naps (he's 9 weeks old). I bring the monitor into the bathroom and turn the volume up high. If there was really an issue I would get out quickly, but if he's just fussing then I finish my shower.

DH went back to work when she was a month old. I showered while she napped in the swing.

I put the changing pad on the floor of the bathroom and lay him on that. I keep the back of the curtain open so I can peak out and see him. The sound of the running water is soothing for him, so if I time it right, he's happy to hang out there while I shower.

Lo is 17 months and I still don't. I just think it's easier to wait to shower at night when los sleeping and dh is home.

that Rock N Play went in every room of the house. Now I use the Pack N Play (he's 1). When he was a little older in the RNP I'd put on a short video or music on the iPad to keep him entertained.

If I have to I out the bouncer in front of the door and leave it open. I generally shower at night but blow my hair in the morning. He loves sitting in the bouncer and watching me. He is 12 weeks.

A week old when my husband went back to work I put her in the rock n play in the bathroom while I showered. She slept so much as a newborn, which made it easier.

I do the same exact thing as @ChelseaRose with my 10 week old. If she's awake and I need to shower to be somewhere, I have a low portable swing that I bring into the bathroom.

He was 12 days old when my husband went back to work. I showered (almost) every day of maternity leave. I usually waited until he was napping to shower.

She was about two weeks old when I had to shower when I was alone with her. She slept though so it wasn't a big deal. Once she started to be awake when I showered, I just started bringing her bouncy seat in there and she plays while I do what I need to do.

Maybe 1 week? I just brought the snuggabunny chair in the bathroom with me.

I just used the rock n play and kept him in the bathroom with me. I did this until he was about 6 months and had started trying to roll over and stand up in it. Now I wait until he goes to bed at night.

I usually wait til he's napping in his crib or swing. Otherwise, I'll put him in his crib and as long as he's not hungry or dirty, if he needs to cry for 5 minutes while I use the bathroom, then that's ok (as long as it's not full on wailing--usually it's complaining). I think I started doing that at 2 weeks, when DH went back to work.

I put him in the bouncy seat in the bathroom with me when he's awake and happy. I don't want to dash out of the shower cold Nd wet if I hear him crying from a nap a d the timing of those is so unpredictable. Since three weeks I've done this.

@scg00387: same!
He's usually sleeping but there's a ton of roon in our broom..so I just put him in the bouncer and keep an eye on him thru the shower door

I just pop her in the rNp or the bouncy seat and put her where I can see her. The sound of the water is soothing so she's happy to chill out with me. And she loooooves it when I turn on the blow dryer.

I shower with her in the room or in the shower (since she was 3 months maybe). Often I shower with both girls playing around my feet. It's less relaxing but we all get clean!

I did once at about 4 months. I pulled his bouncer into the bathroom. He cried the whole time.
I prefer to shower at night anyway, so I usually just wait until he's asleep and/or DH is home.

Like some of the others, I showered with the door open while she napped.

About 2 weeks old. She napped in the swing in front of the bathroom door so I could see her...she loved the sound of the water and blow dryer!

I just put her in her bouncy and bring her in the bathroom with me, she loves the sound of the shower...she is 4 months old and I still do this, but when she gets older I'll have to do it while she's napping or when DH is home.

I had her in the bathroom with me from day one, in the rock and play. DH had never been around a baby before so he was nervous. I took short showers, and if I needed to take a long one or DH was feeling confident (if she was fed, changed, happy!) he held her while I was in there.
If he was home, of course - he was only home for a week.

Since about a week old. He'll either be in his Boppy right outside the open door (still in our bedroom), his swing right outside the door or napping in his crib.

Showering is about the first thing I do when A goes down for her first nap. I would put her down, make my bed and by then she'd be asleep so it was safe to enjoy my shower. If she's awake and I need a shower she hangs out on her play gym
Breakfast and showering are always my first priority in the morning!
ETA LO is almost twelve weeks old

Probably when she was about 3 months old? I would put her in her bouncer and leave her right in front of the shower so we could see each other. Until then, I always waited until DH was home.

@Amelieisme: exactly the same. Now at 9 mos she plays in the pack and play which I move to the hall outside the bathroom and leave the door open.
