I'm bringing shrimp cocktail to thanksgiving. Can I buy the ready to eat (not frozen) kind on weds morning and have it be good on Thursday afternoon? Or am I better off buying frozen and thawing myself on Thursday? I'll make my own cocktail sauce to be fancy, but I don't particularly feel like cooking the shrimp myself. Definitely not peeling and deveining- we aren't that fancy.
Willing to go to the store first thing weds but I'm avoiding the crowds after that.
