My LO got sick the first week...bronchiolitis. Then she got pneumonia 2 months later and various colds and sniffles since then. She stayed at home for over a week when she had pneumonia but otherwise she usually just misses a day with the more minor stuff.

Daycare is wonderful but GERMY!

Yeah I've been told to expect a lot of sickness in the first few months. Luckily hubs has the ability to work from home so he'll be on baby duty when we have to miss day care. The good news is by the time your baby gets to pre school she'll have an excellent immune system built up.

DD started daycare at 6 months but I think we've lucked out or she has a good immune system. She gets sick every once in a while but it hasn't been that painful. I am scared for the future about having 2 kids in daycare, though, germs will multiply!

I can really empathize with you. On the second day of daycare, Tobin got sent home sick one hour after I took him in and was sick for the rest of the week. Today he got sent home sick too, and it's only been three weeks at daycare. He was never sick before! I think I'm going to end up spending all of my vacation days taking care of him when he's sick from daycare - so frustrating!
