This is a really stupid/silly thing, but I'm trying to work out how we will travel this weekend. We are going to Long Island via LIRR. The house we are going to is a 5-minute drive from the station and a 27-minute walk. According to Google Maps it looks pretty walkable with sidewalks, but I can't see the entire route via Street View and I know some areas of LI are not exactly walkable.

The issue is the big old convertible car seat. We could lug the thing on the subway and LIRR and I could carry LO, but she is not enjoying being carried as much. Or we could just bring the stroller and make the 30-minute walk from the station to the house.

Renting a car is not an option for this weekend, we will most likely do that next time we go though. Going to see my mom's new house! She's also going to buy a car seat for LO so we have one that we can set up.

That car seat is huge and heavy! I don't know why I'm overthinking this. My mom seems to think that the walk is way longer than Google says. Any ideas? Suggestions?
