Ahhhh so excited!! I love love love Sister Wives! I was just wondering the other day when it would start again. Just saw a preview on TLC--it's back this Sunday! Any other Sister Wives fans out there?

I like this show! My mom said why do you watch it, she was weirded out by it, but I'm pretty impressed with how these moms work together and support one another. I could never do it.

I watch the show. I could never understand why people were so hateful to them. It's their life, they aren't hurting anyone, leave them alone!

I think it's a great show too. I love learning more about different cultures and religions. Looks like its going to be a tumultuous season though.

Oooh, I can't wait, I love it! TLC is basically just killin' it this year: Secret Princes...Sister Wives...Breaking Amish... Can't get enough!
@Arden: Not 100% sure at ALL, but I think a lot of the "hate" so-to-say comes from the fact that they are able to have three of the wives "use the system" (again, totally just what I've gathered, nothing against anyone/anything and not trying to "start" anything!) because they technically/legally qualify as "single mothers."

DH and I drove through Salt Lake City in August while on a road trip, and I insisted on driving by the house they used to live in. It's way smaller than it looks on tv! Here's the pic I took:

@ms.janedoe: how does anyone know that they use the system? It doesn't seem like they do? And so mnay married women use the system because them and their husbands don't make enough money....so that's not a fair assumption of the haters to make
I like the show...I can't wait for it to come back....It hurts me that they experience so much hate. I mean-their situation isn't usual and I don't agree with it but hey: they are good people...there are worse things in the world!

@ms.janedoe: Well that's not exactly their fault, I'm sure they'd get legally married if they were able to do so. Besides, how exactly are they using the system? I haven't heard that before.
But I've also heard a lot of hate about how it's terrible for all those children to have to share one father, but come on. Other kids don't have any father figure, or their parents are divorced and they rarely see their dad, or their dad is abusive.. etc.
I just think that people hate them because they are different. I don't agree with their lifestyle, but I'm not going to attack them for it. Personal life choices are just that - personal.

YES! Oh man, I'm excited. That lifestyle is so fascinating, and I love psychologically analyzing Kody and the wives!

@Minnie_Girl: Know what you should psycho analyze. Kody and his stupid two door car. All the wives load up these huge vans when they go on trips and he just hops into his little car all by himself. It makes me want to hit him:)
