Daycare suggested to move LO to Size 7 diapers because he is having blow outs at school but we just moved him to Size 6 less than a month ago and he is 33 pounds which makes me think Size 6 should be OK.
Is there a better Size 6 than the Swaddlers or is Size 7 the way to go or do I need to consider a pull up or something else instead? TIA

@autumnleaves: I didn't even know they made a size 7! My son is 32 pounds and we just potty trained but he was comfortably in Size 6 or 2T/3T pull up. Once he was about a year old we switched from Pampers Swaddlers to Pampers Baby Dry. Maybe get a small pack of Baby Dry and a small back of Pampers Cruisers and see if either of those works better. Honestly I think pull ups were worse for holding in poop.

I feel like Swaddlers are kind of crap after size five, especially when you have a mobile baby. We use Huggies Little Movers and they contain everything really well. Pampers irritated my daughter's skin once she was older.

I still use Swaddlers size 6 over night on my 2 1/2 year old. He's 35 lbs and about 40" tall (so kind of lanky), and he's never peed or pooped out of them. I would maybe try the lil movers like someone else recommended, but I don't see how they're having a problem with the swaddler. I don't think the answer is a size 7 though.

I wouldn’t go with pull-ups, they don’t hold nearly as much, in my experience. What about Cruisers? We switched to those after size four (mostly because they were cheaper) and never had a problem.

Thanks all! I will try Huggies Little Movers and maybe one of the other Pampers Size 6 options. I agree the Swaddlers do not seem to be as good as we move up in size and I am wondering if the quality has gotten worse recently.

@autumnleaves: I tried Pampers size 6 for a week and noticed that they run really small for my kiddo! Huggies and Costco size 6 fit a whole lot better. Hope it works out for you!

We used size 7 pampers cruisers on my younger son. I had to order them online. We also did pull ups (size 4T/5T).

Try cruisers. We switched to those once LO was walking.

@autumnleaves: I agree that swaddlers are only good before they are very active. They used to only go up To a size 3. At size 4 we switch to pampers cruisers.

I switched to Huggies bought at costco and I haven't looked back. (except for wipes... i still like pampers wipes)

We loved Target's Up and Up and as a daycare teacher it's still my favorite. Huggies and swaddles are the ones I see the most blowouts in. I'd try Target or Cruisers in a 6.

My 37 lb 2 year old wears size 6 cruisers. We have no issues.

Agree with the others - we didn't use Swaddlers past 1 year (maybe younger). I've found BabyDry to be a great "next step" from Swaddlers, although I admit we are currently at a weird place in size - the 4's are getting a little short in the waist, but 5's are gappy.

DS is barely maybe 28 lbs (tall and lanky) and wears Cruisers 6 so I am leaning toward the recommendation of the 7s, if you go that route. We always went up in size when we had repeated blowouts, but haven’t had one in such a long time. That said, they don’t seem to fit kids the same. And I stopped referring to the weight range awhile ago. Case in point: @Alba4 uses the same size for their 37-lb LO.
I didn’t know pull-ups had less “capacity.” Oooh interesting! The things you learn on HB...
ETA: we hated Baby Dry. Even for our skinny dude, they just fit so small and the feel of them...ick. To each their own and whatever works though!

I never cared for swaddlers but I feel like Huggies run bigger so you could try those in the 6!
