I want to order a fleece jacket for Xander for the car. I can get it in 18-24 or 2T. He's currently 19 months and wearing 18 month clothes and doesn't seem like he's going to grow out of them soon... but I want to make sure whatever I get him will last the whole winter (so it needs to last until around April probably). He'll turn 2 in late February.
Thoughts?
ETA: Last winter I got him the jacket in 12 month and it fit him all winter!

My 1st instinct is to say 2T but then again I like for fleece to be fitting not baggy - so I might do 18-24 months - can you order both and return 1?

@Adira: I got R a 18-24M from North Fleece. It fits her great. She has room in her belly, the arms have to be rolled up. A 2T would have been huge on her. She is taller and wider then Xander, so I think 18-24 would be fine for him.

@Smurfette: Good point - Xander's such a peanut (although he's up to 50th percentile in weight, so not as much of a peanut as he was last winter)!

I found that my son's growth really slowed down at that point, so I would probably go for the smaller one, assuming it is just slightly larger than a perfect fit. If it fits perfectly now, size up. Or size up and try to get two seasons out of it?
My son is wearing a jacket this fall that I bought him last fall slightly too big. Last year the arms were a wee bit too long. This year it fits perfectly.

I like to size up for stuff like this and then maybe get more wear out of them.

I size up for jackets. I feel like there's usually not a big difference between 18-24 and I'd rather have the chance of using it next season too.

Size up. My LO is in his 2T fleece jacket at 25 or months right now. It's definitely getting too short. He's 3T on tops, but still 2Ts on bottoms.
