@Pepper: 5 months ish and no cry sleep solution. It was a really positive experience and at 9.5 months I feel really good about the decision and where his sleep is at.

11.5 months and we used extinction method, but she was really, really ready then. She cried 20 mins the first night and has sttn ever since!

We did it for the 1st time at almost 4 months. Then she got use to us going in when she woke due to teething so just did it again at 6 months. This time was just for the middle of night wake ups. The putting herself to sleep was still fine. We did CIO.

we did it for night weaning. tried it at 3 and 4 months, failed miserably. tried again at 6 months, and that worked. we did extinction and it took 45 mins and one night.

tried first at 5 months and failed. Tried again at 6.5 months using Ferber's method and it worked in 2 nights (to get him down to 1 wakeup).

Six months. We did five minute checks at bedtime and responded to all night wakings. So a sort of modified 5 Minute Sleep Solution. It took two nights for her to go down at bedtime with no problems and maybe five days until she was mostly sleeping through the night.
We did it because we needed to swaddle wean quickly (she was rolling over swaddled) and stop her waking every 45 minutes and calling out for her paci, not to eliminate night feedings. I'd say she STTN 5 nights out of seven now, apart from the usual teething/growth spurt/illness set backs.

4 weeks, (yes weeks). We used the Moms on Call method. It worked awesome for us!

@mrbee: Thanks, I'm reading through those now!
So many different methods out there! LO is almost 3 months, so I'm starting to wonder if we should try some form of sleep training (his sleep has been awful lately).
