I'm off of work next week for 5 days so it was the perfect time to sleep train...but LO is teething now! Would you recommend continuing ahead with sleep training or wait until teething stops? We do give her Tylenol at night for teething so she isn't in too much pain but I imagine she is wiped out from dealing with it all day.

Based on what I've read/watched, teething is not a reason to not go through with sleep training. However, I know a lot of people feel very differently about that.

@.twist.: same. Our ped said not to stop for teething. Just make sure they're comfortable (Tylenol or Motrin)!

They can teethe for a loooong looong time, so I wouldn't put off ST for that, unless there's one particular tooth obviously giving some sort of extra pain or something. I also think it might not be as successful if there is an acute pain due to a tooth coming in. Chronic teething, however, shoudln't affect ST.

Depends on your baby. If I didn't know 100% that crying during sleep training was due to frustration vs pain, I would wait. It would be too hard, and if you start and don't follow through you will only be teaching baby that if you cry long enough mom will give in, and that will make it worse in the long run.
