When your LO is sick, what do you do for sleeping?
LO (22 months) has a fever & runny nose today. 
She took an hour long nap on me earlier, and is currently on hour 2 of another nap (it's 4:15 pm, here). Usually, she's up at 3:00 from nap.
Should I wake her up, or let her keep sleeping?! I don't want to wreck her sleep tonight, but if she's getting any relief right now, I don't want to wake her. Catch 22?

I would wake her!
But. My son sleeps so bad at night when he is sick (he's sick right now and sleeping terribly) I wouldn't want to risk making it worse. My friends daughter on the other hand sleeps way more when sick and had more naps and longer night sleep.

I never wake them up. Hope she feels better soon.

I'd let her sleep. Maybe push bedtime back a little if she seems too awake later.

Thanks!! Yeah, since she's staying home tomorrow, I think we'll let her sleep this nap through, then just stay up until we go to bed. If she got any good sleep in our bed, I'd let her sleep with me, but we all sleep better when she's in her room.

I let him sleep as much as he wants. If he wakes up he might stay awake a bit later but when he's really sick he sleeps a lot, so I don't worry about it.

I never ever wake them up - ESPECIALLY if they're sick! My son has taken 4+ hour naps in the past when he's sick and his tired little body needs it to recuperate! Typically his night sleep was off anyway just from the general discomfort of feeling gross and hot from a fever.

I ended up letting her sleep (napped until 5:30) ... Then she slept again from 8:30 - 9:00. She obviously needed that rest.

@youboots: Well, she ended up in our room at 11 ... was awake for probably 45 minutes. But yeah, it was mostly "restful".

I always let DD sleep. If she's sick then she needs all the rest she can get!
