Some backstory. .. DS is 9 months and we've been cosleeping. I've tried sleep training him 3 times and failed miserably. He hasn't be going to sleep before midnight for the past 3 days and waking every hour and I've had it. After speaking with the pediatrician at his checkup yesterday, I've realized it's time to try again.

DH will be out of town all week next week. I've chosen to start while he is gone because we always get into an argument and its sounds crazy but maybe it will be easier on my own.

Ok now to the point.... I'd like to nap train at the same time to get it over with. However I'm gone from 5-9pm Wednesday and Thursday and my MIL will be watching him. He sometimes takes a cat nap during this time (which is probably contributing to his late bedtime..). I don't want her to have to deal with a cranky baby. She will not let him cry so its up to me to put him to bed after she leaves.

So should I wait to nap train in order to make it easier for her? If I do nap train at the same time will it screw things up if she rocks him to sleep for a cat nap or anything?

Lets hope I am even brave enough to embark on this (again) on my own!

Sorry for the novel!
