As you may recall, we started letting C sleep in her big bed about two weeks ago, just before she turned two. She's been sleeping terribly in the crib, waking up at night, needing us to lay in the bed with her until she fell asleep then we would move her to the crib. So we gave in and let her do the big bed. First night was fine. After that, she started this game of getting up and coming out of her room multiple times a night. We offered rewards. We talked about it. Nothing worked, so we started giving her a couple chances then she got put in the crib. Usually she would scream in the crib for several minutes then we would go back in, and give her one more chance in the bed and she would stay and fall asleep. Once she was asleep she would sleep through until around 7, which is awesome for her.
The last three nights we've played this charade but she screams in the crib for a few minutes then falls asleep, sleeps through and wakes up around 7.
so we just say F it and go back to the crib? She is still napping in there anyway. Baby 2 will be here in December but will be in our room for a while anyway, then they will share.
I don't really understand why this is so hard for her! But the nightly battles have to stop- I have zero patience left by bedtime and info it solo most nights. I'm done.
