Just like my maternity photoshoot inspiration, what I envision for a newborn shoot is something simple, organic. I love lifestyle photoshoots, just capturing those first couple of weeks as they are.
I don't want the frills and fluff (although I appreciate the cuteness, it just isn't me).

I loved our shoot (below) but I'm loving the "lifestyle" approach more and more, shots on the bed and in the nursery and so on.

I did a combination of both and loved them!
I also asked her to do a series I called "All the little things"; the precious little parts that make up a baby... the ears, toes, nose, eyes, fingers, belly button etc. So I put them all together on a collage. I love how it turned out in the baby book of photos I had printed for him.
