Our grocery store has parking spots marked specifically for parents with infants. I guess I'm not supposed to park there if I had say, 4 kids with me? Isn't that harder than having one infant, though?
I guess it's just their way of restricting it or else there would be a lot more people trying to get the special spots.

I love using these spots! I interpret them as parents with children that use a stroller. Fwiw, the spots in my area are labeled 'parents with young children.'

@Andrea: aw, those are so sweet. I've only ever seen "expectant mothers" parking.
But yeah, it's way harder to walk 4 little kids through a dangerous parking lot than to carry an infant. I guess you're right: they do that to limit things. Because people only have infants for a few months, they rarely go out with them too. Everybody has kids so there wouldn't be enough parking spots to treat everybody special

@TurtleDoves: yeah, that is what I was thinking. Probably a quarter of the people at the grocery store have kids!

If I had one infant with me then additional kids, I would absolutely use those spots. I've never seen anything like that here, though.
