...where parking is basically in a large open field. You go out to your car to leave and realize that you are now blocked in because someone has double parked behind you. What do you do??

That's maddening! I wonder if a tow company would tow them? But unfortunately you probably don't have a legal right to request that.

Ugh...crappy! I'd probably seek out the DJ, MC, or other individual that could make an announcement for one of the cars to move...
ETA: of course, if it was an event that had something like that.

@GoGoSnoGirl: FINALLY found a police officer!! they actually managed to track the person down whose car it was, but it took over an hour between finding someone to help, and finding the person, and them moving their car!

@matador84: This happened to me in the spring and I was sooooo pissed. Luckily, someone else moved, but I still had to execute a 572 point turn and squeeze my tiny Nissan Versa between two cars to get out of there.

I wouldn't recommend it - and you would need a lot if help, but I know of someone who along with a bunch of friends picked the other car up and moved it out of the way

That is infuriating. It happened to me once. Someone blocked in my car (and two others) in an office complex parking lot, and I had no idea where to find them. I didn't have to wait for a whole hour, though. I think I would have lost my cool for sure.
