DH wants to keep E in tot soccer for the next term, I kind of want to try tot dance. I think she would like both equally (IMO) . What would you pick?

Have you asked her? What does she think?
I wouldn't be able to decide- I love both!

How old is she? Have you asked her? I think dance would be really great for coordination and future sports, whether they be soccer or not. However, soccer would encourage coordination too.

@Mrs. Pen: @Mrs. Coral: we asked her and she wants both! Lol! We don't want to commit to too many things and she is already in swimming so it has to be one or the other.
DH likes that soccer teaches teamwork, I like dance because it's sooooooo cute! Lol!

@prettylizy: I like both of your reasons so I don't know! I know C would love dance so I would lean that way, but I'd want both too.

Haha I think M woukd love both as well so I'm no help. I would probably do soccer in spring and summer. Then dance in fall and winter.

@regberadaisy: agreed. We only do outdoor soccer when the weather is warmer and then dance is fall/winter so do both!

@Andrea: @regberadaisy: our soccer is in a gym, so weather doesn't really matter. She really does love it. Ugh.

@prettylizy: I think you've just created The Great American Sport Of The Future:

Tutus and soccer cleats. Pliés and PKs. It's a perfect match.

Soccer...more time to run around. We are going to try dance at 3.5 or 4!

Those are the two things I want LO to do most! I'd probably let her try out dance. Maybe she'll hate it and it'll make the decision easier for the next term!

yeah, i dunno which to pick as those are the two that we'll do with DD. i did the same growing up and loved them equally. the rule for my parents was that we always had to be doing something (just so we weren't blobbing around the house). i mostly stuck to soccer during the fall and dance the rest of the time. swimming during the summer too though!

Soccer burns more energy! I used to teach pre-school ballet, and I don't think most kiddos (totally my unscientific opinion!) under 4 got as much out of it as toddlers.
