I'm working on a registry (more of just a list of things I should acquire) and am getting overwhelmed about how garish a lot of baby stuff is. Any ideas on where to get a solid color bouncer? Besides baby bjorn - it's way too expensive for me.

Ours wasnt solid, but it was muted enough for me. Like you, some of the super garish stuff eally turned me off. ITs more grey and less yellow when you take that infant positioner pillow out

the Snug a Bunny is also much more muted and less patterned
aside from pricey ones (Bjorn, 4 Moms, etc), those are all I can think of

There are two off the top of my head, one by Svan and the other by Bloom, but they're pricey! I don't have that kind of money for a bouncer!
We had a Bright Starts swing, it was pretty muted, so I'd either check that brand or Boppy...they have a bouncer too.

@jedeve: haha, yes this is what I was thinking the whole time registering

I totally know what you mean!!! I registered for and got the snuggabunny just because of the muted colours.
Another tricky thing, is that people will get you stuff. Registries help. I usually found that people want to buy from Babies R Us in stead of the other places I registered, so I would try to pick the 'least offensive' items from BRU.

@cvbee: Luckily (unluckily?) we don't have one anywhere near me so it's all Amazon here.

we have snugabunny sleeper and also snugabunny swing and love them both. Although one downside is the fleece type fabric can get a bit hot in the summer time
