It hasn't happened to us, but I've heard of it happening to my co-workers. The easiest thing to do is switch channels, if you can.

hehe yeah, we saw a baby on the other channel when we first got ours. Either they moved away or they saw our baby and freaked out and got a different monitor.

Weird! Hasn't happened to me yet (that I know of),but all LO does on there is sleep so I'm not too worried.

I've heard of it happening, especially in apartment buildings. Just be careful about things like breastfeeding in front of it!

I saw my neighbor's baby on OUR video monitor!!! It was weird...

omg that's so creepy. that's actually why I didn't spring for a motorola or summer infant.. We bought a surveillance camera instead that hooks up to our wifi and can only be accessed with a username and password in addition to our wifi passwords. We view it on our iPhones.

@rachiecakes: I love it! But it does take a moderately tech-savvy person to set it up. And we couldn't figure out the audio, but that didn't matter to us because we never keep the video on our iPhone throughout his entire nap, we have a separate audio monitor. Anyway, my husband set it all up and it didn't seem too difficult, but I know it would have taken me a little longer to figure it out for sure. If your husband or someone you know is good with that then I highly recommend it. Skippee did a review blog post on it too on the blog.
It was also only $80! And the apps I use to view it on my phone are free.

I heard another baby on our audio monitor! Now I try really hard to turn ours off when LO is not in bed.

@rachiecakes: We got the same camera as @Mrs. Pen, after reading the post on HB. I love it! I agree that it does take some effort to set up. My husband likes it because he can peep what LO and I are doing in the nursery while he's at work. Sometimes when we are playing in there, I see the camera move and it's so weird!

@plaidpants: we never figured out how to set it up so DH can see it from work!! how did you do it? you can respond on my wall if you wish

@Mrs. Pen: I have to admit that I had nothing to do with setting it up! But I will check with my technologically savvy husband and let you know. I will say that it took a couple days to get it right. There was some trial and error.

So creepy! I remember in the old days my best friend and I used to lay on the floor in and listen to the neighbors fighting and cursing over her sister's baby monitor!
