and 6 would be FINE with me! Even 5:45, because I wake up by 5:30-5:45 anyway....but she's just so miserable and still seems tired when she wakes up but WILL NOT SLEEP LONGER.

@Anagram: I felt the same way. LO was going to bed at 6:30 and we moved it back to 7 because she was fighting bed time but she was waking at 5. LO was taking awhile to go to sleep at night as well, which is why we originally moved bed time back but I actually think she was over tired. It's not ideal but lately she has been going to bed at 6 and it works. Yesterday she slept 11:30 - 2:30 and then went to bed at 6 and woke at 6. She's taking proper naps again!
It might not work or it might. You've got nothing to lose by giving it a go. It took 3 days for us to see a result. Worse case she still wakes up early! But your description of your LO being miserable sounds just like my LO.

@Anagram: Maybe she is overtired because of the MOTN wakeup. We did CIO to get rid of the MOTN wake up and everything drastically improved. Before that I was just mad at the world. I also have started working out at 6am so that I am less inclined to be irritated by getting woken up early. I can't wait until she is able to hang out on her own in the morning.
