I LOVE spicy foods. DS does too
DH? not so much, he can't stand them! He hates sour things, too, even lemonade.
I ate spicy while pregnant and breastfeeding, I think J got his taste for spice in the womb!
You?

DH loves spicy food even more than me!
It's all I've been craving this pregnancy! DS has had spicy food since early on too!
Just ate some spicy kimchi fried rice

@blackbird: hope that does last forever!
@mrsjyw: I wish DH did! I love nachos loaded with jalapenos, he eats around them, lol
There's a restaurant behind my office that makes this amazing spicy tofu rice bowl, I'm craving it so hard today!

Nay! I can tolerate mild spiciness but I'm not a fan of super spicy food in general. I think it masks other flavors. My DH likes things crazy spicy and he will "doctor" most of the food I make, which drives me nuts. And when he cooks, a lot of the time I can't eat it, because what he thinks is mildly spicy is way too spicy for me. He had to eat chili for 3 meals a day for over a week because he made a huuuuuge batch and I couldn't tolerate it at all.

YAY! DH and I both love lots of spice. We have really toned it down in our cooking since DS started eating what we eat a couple of years ago. But our oldest seems ok with a little spice... hopefully he will come around!

@rachiecakes: it won't!! I'm sure as soon as this babys out, I'll be back to my usual fare! I had this same issue with E. I just have to keep it to very small doses

In theory I get excited about spicy food, but in reality I can't take the heat. My eyes water, my nose runs, and my mouth ison fire at the slightest heat.
I love lemonade though!

@blackbird: true about lots of hair?
I didn't have pregnancy heartburn, but J had a TON of hair
what's your favorite spice? I LOVE curry.. and hot peppers like jalapenos and chiles.

@rachiecakes: yep!!! E had a solid head of hair. I love it all, frankly. I make spicy kimchi and salsas and curries and I like jalapeno powder for a nice kick. E isn't a fan and slaps her tongue and whines with spicy food so hopefully she comes around

I tongue enjoys the flavours, but my body does not enjoy the end result. And although I enjoy the flavours, I'm also a huge wimp.
DH LOVES spice. I've never seen him eat anything that was "too spicy".
L, I don't think L likes the spice. Maybe it will come with time.

Hmmm. I like heat, but not necessary spicy? So a good Thai dish I like, but something like a straight ghost pepper I'm not about.

I like spicy a lot and craved it a lot when I was pregnant. DH hates it. LO likes some, but we don't really give her too much.

Both DH and I love spicy food - but flavorful spicy, not just "hot" spicy.
E used to like spicy food, but now she uses spicy as an excuse not to eat something "oh, that's too spicy, I can't eat it". She will however, eat actually spicy stuff as long as its something she likes
LO and I both love sour too - we nom all the lemonade, pickles, etc. LO straight up eats lemons, peel, pith and all. She's hardcore about sour!

MMmmm, yes I do! Especially Asian spiciness like in Korean, Thai, and Indian food. DH likes heat too but it doesn't sit well with him.
I had awful heartburn during pregnancy and sweated and cried my way through my spicy cravings. DS was born with a shocking amount of hair.

I'm Korean and I love spicy foods! Thank goodness the heartburn hasn't hit yet. I hope LO will be able to tolerate his kimchi when the time comes!

My son and I are the same way. He loves Cajun seasonings. lol My husband's tolerance for spicy foods has increased since we have been together, but my son can handle more than him.

DH and I love it. Both DDs aren't huge fans, but I bet they'll come around when they're older.

Love spicy food. DH is crazy about it, he goes for the insanity pepper type stuff.

I can handle spicy food, and I don't avoid it when pregnant and nursing, but I don't douse all my food in hot sauce. I like a little kick once in a while, but it's not essential for every meal.

Yay yay yay. I have no idea what e will eat once we start full fledged table foods, as most of our meals include lots of spice.

love spicy and hot foods. DH likes a lot of spice, but not necessarily of the hot variety. LO so far isn't into spicy. bummer.
