I honestly don't remember ever kissing my dad on the lips! Kissed my mom all the time though.

Nope. My mom is more affectionate than my dad. My dad is a hugger though.

No way Jose! Growing up I don't really recall any families that we knew doing that, and my mom was pretty vocal about how inappropriate she thought it was. DH's family was the same.
We will in all likelihood discourage this practice in our own LO's too.

No way! That kind of behavior we only see in cases in our DV unit. It started with a kiss on the lips.... hehe j/k sort of. But, no we didn't. My mom is very unaffectionate and so am I!

still do--and with everyone on my dad's side; aunts/uncles/grandparents, but none of the my agers
with my mom's side, it's only my mom. -
Yep, and I still do. It is mostly just kisses on the cheek nowadays, but on special occasions I get a small peck. I also have some extended family members that kiss on the lips too. I think its kind of cute!

In my entire 31 years of existence, I don't ever recall kissing my father. EVER ever ever. I *think* I hugged him once. My dad only shows affection towards LO. Heck, when I announced I was pregnant, he shook my hand. SHOOK MY HAND.

No, haha, my dad was not the kissing type anyway. I don't have a problem with it for babies or toddlers though.

Nope. My dad isn't even really a hugger.

Nope. My family doesn't display physical affection. At my wedding, when the officiant directed my dad to kiss me on the cheek prior to handing me off to my hubby, everyone noticed how awkward/unnatural it was.
