I only add if I remember who they are: I always get random people from my hometown or college, and if I can't remember them, I decline. I used to accept because I felt bad that my memory sucked, but then I ended up with all these people who I didn't care about and I ended up deleting them anyways. Or otherwise if it's really random I decline--like, a realtor who helped us find an apartment once: no, we do not need to be friends...

No. I'm flattered people want to friend me, but if I don't know you well in real life there's no need for us to be FB friends.

I have one person who constantly friends me. I have removed her at least 4 times.

I have to know them and interact with them in real life to add them. I don't even accept people from high school that I used to know because I hate having "friends" on Facebook that I never interact with.

Nope. I have to know people in real life (and speak to them on occasion at least) to add them.

I don't accept people I don't know even if we have quite a few common friends. I also don't accept invites from co-workers. I keep my personal and work life separate.

Nope, I have 105 friends on facebook and they're all close family/friends. I've deleted anyone I didn't know (people who were in one single class with me in college), people I didn't care about/talk to (people in my class in high school that I didn't really talk to then, and haven't talked to since), and I don't add anyone I don't talk to/see on a regular basis.

Nope! I almost never 'friend' ppl, but if they friend me, I only accept if know them pretty well (and like them!) or if DH is super close to them & I feel like I have to. I refuse FIL & other ppl I just don't want in my business all the time.

I have denied plenty of requests. What annoys me are the people who are like, "Oh, we both grew up in Hershey, but never spoke once in our lives; let's be friends!" No.

ETA: I used to leave lots of Hubs' family in limbo but now I friend them but then completely restrict their access.

I'm not longer on Facebook, but when I was I wouldn't accept people who I didn't know very well. I would block certain information from some family members. I usually accept requests from Instagram unless it's spam.
