I have to wash mine daily if I'm leaving the house. If I go more than 3 days w/o washing it, I'm soooo gross.

Every day. If I'm not leaving the house, I can only stand it for two days before I become grossed out at myself.

since lo has been here, once a week. It was a week ago today that I washed & I think that I could still go longer b/c I'm not even oily yet. maybe it's the hormones - lo is only 5 weeks old. before she came, though, it was every 3 days

Every other during the colder months but more often during warmer months.

daily. if I'm feeling super lazy i'll skip a day but only if I don't really have to go anywhere nice.

Every three or four days - but I have super dry curly hair. I do shower and condition it every day!

Once every other day. But I did just have to go two weeks after surgery. I used dry shampoo, but it was still pretty gross.

I shampoo my hair every other day, but at least use conditioner everyday. Lately, pregnancy has made me feel disgusting, so I will take two showers a day and at least condition my hair.

Every other day. I can go three if I put my hair in a bun, ha! But I have dry-ish hair.

I wash mine every other day. During summer if I have been running then I will usually rinse with water on non shampoo days.

Every other day! I prefer every day but my hair is super dry right now!

I have very fine hair (but a lot of it) so it goes flat if it's not washed daily. If I'm going to wear it up, sometimes I'll leave it (and just wet it in the shower) but otherwise, I wash it each morning

I have to wash it everyday or it gets so oily and nasty.

@artbee: ugh I would die! that would be sooo awful. did you have people wanting to visit or bring meals? That would make it even worse.
I usually wash it every other day. My hair actually looks best the next day

3-4 times A MONTH.
I like my hair really "rough." I use something called Ocean Texture Spray.... it basically makes my hair feel kind of dirty, like I have been at the beach all day. If I am out of that, I literally just put salt water in my hair. I don't like it when my hair is too soft or smooth or shiny... I like it EXTREMELY tousled.

Every day. 36 hours is the longest I can go without it feeling heavy enough to be distracting. I HAVE gone 4 days without showering... but that was during Army basic training. Our drill sergeant actually rigged up a field shower (ours was the only platoon that bathed in the field. Coolest DS ever.)

6x/week. I usually skip the shower on one weekend day, as long as we're not doing anything important.

Every other day...sometimes every day. My hair is super thick and doesn't get greasy and actually gets dried out when I wash every day.

Every other day . . . sometimes I can stretch it to every third day. I have really thick hair and it actually looks worse if I wash it more frequently.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
Generally, I wash it 6x a week - every day during the work week and I usually skip one day on the weekend.
Now I'm on bedrest so I shower every other day so as to stay off my feet as much as possible.

It's a lose lose situation for me so I wash every day. I really shouldn't because I spend so much on my highlights and lowlights ot hide my grays and my hair is damaged from all the styling, but if I skip a day it looks so bad I can't even leave the house!

About once a week. My hair used to fall out like crazy but now it's really healthy and shiny--not greasy.

@Minnie_Girl: Wow!! That's awesome!!
I wash mine daily because my hair gets oily after 24 hours. I do occasionally skip a day, but that means hair has to be in a ponytail.

@miss-spunkin: I left the house! I went to dinner, and we had a big Passover dinner at my inlaws. I felt so bad, but I took a good sponge bath and sprayed lots of dry shampoo. Nobody mentioned a funny smell!

@winniebee: off topic: are there any rules about showering while on bedrest? do you have to take baths?
grapefruit / 4400 posts
Everyday! I am so greasy/oily that I can't stand it when I don't wash my hair. I even woke up super early on my wedding morning (and other weddings I've been in) to shower/wash my hair, even though it's not the best for updos and curls. I just can't handle it!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@miss-spunkin: They actually say showers are better b/c they are quicker than baths! I'm allowed 1 per day, but I'm conservative. They suggested a seat for the shower, but I didn't get one.

I wash my hair every other day. It gets dried out if I try to do it everyday.
