I was also in 9th grade (age 14). I was a cheerleader and my boyfriend was 16 and on the varsity football team. My mom wouldn't let me go anywhere with him in his car though, and it made me so mad lol. We were together 3 months which felt like an eternity in high school.

I had my first boyfriend when I was in 9th grade. We didn't start going out on dates until a year later when we both had our driver's licenses.

I was in the 9th grade (13) when I had my first actual boyfriend but we only saw eachother at school because my mom hated him lol... We were together for a little over a year and my mom was angry about it the whole time.

My parents never had a set age that I could date. I had my first "boyfriend" if you could call it then when I was a freshman in high school. I just dated him because I wanted to know what it was like to have a boyfriend. Then I had my first actual boyfriend when I was a sophomore. He was a good family friend and neighbor, so our parents weren't excited about it at all because they knew it was a stupid high school relationship and we'd just end up breaking up and they were scared it would affect our family's relationship. They were wrong though. Not about us breaking up, but we're still friends.

My first non-official relationship (we called it "talking" back then) was sophomore year (I was 13) with now-DH. He was a senior and too serious for me at the time, so we broke it off and saw other people for a while, though I never had an "official" boyfriend. My first actual declared boyfriend was now-DH again when I was a senior, but we didn't actually call each other boyfriend or girlfriend until I was in college. My parents weren't too happy since they wanted me to focus on school, but when my grades didn't suffer, they couldn't really complain anymore.
