I started wearing glasses in grade 5. I remember the day I put them on for the first time, I was in shock to see the world so differently!

I was 25. I had perfect eyes.... until I had a job where I was on the computer all day. I was so upset when I had to get glasses!

I think I may have won so far... I was 6 years old when I got my first pair. They were the ugliest things ever!

I just got glasses about a month ago and I'm 25. I've probably needed glasses for a while, but after christmas (I blame the ps3 my DH got), I started getting headaches every day and it was awful. They would come on after looking at the computer for a while or watching tv, so I went in and got checked and sure enough, I needed a mild Rx. No more headaches though! Hooray!

I was 9 when I started wearing glasses but I only needed them for stuff far-away like reading the board at school or watching TV. When I was 14, I started wearing them all the time. I tried contacts but I hate things touching my eyes, so no contacts for me! Then I got Lasik when I was 21.

I needed them when I started high school, but I didn't start wearing contacts until last year.

I was 16. I was a big reader and on the computer a lot, but my vision took a major nosedive very quickly between age 14 and 16.

I was 23. I realized I needed them full-time when I was walking down the hallway at work and couldn't pick out who was walking towards me until they were practically on top of me. Oops.

Glasses in 1st grade, soft contacts in 2nd and gas permeables/hard contacts in 3rd because my vision/prescription changed 3x that year. My vision is horrific and it makes me so sad that I don't qualify for Lasik.

5th grade... I remember because I got them the day before picture day. My mom made me wear them for the pictures too!

I was 6 or 7 when I got glasses, I cried for days over it. I was 10 when I got contacts because my eyes were changing too fast, the doc thought contacts would help.

1st grade yep, I was THAT asian geek.
started with contacts freshman year of high school and never turned back... now I can't even wear glasses without getting a massive migraine. I wear contacts probably 12 hours a day, every day.

Age 2!
I was born with glaucoma (had surgery when 8 weeks old) as well as nearsightedness and cataracts! I have been wearing glasses since age 2, started wearing contacts at age 12 and wore them almost exclusively until last year when I had cataracts surgery. Then, I started wearing progressive lenses glasses for work and contacts on weekends.
Since I was born in 1980, let's just say I had some pretty amazing cokebottle glasses growing up ; )

Found out I needed them at age almost 25. Still only wear them very rarely, for sightseeing and sometimes for movies. I don't need them to drive, or anything important. (I'm 28)

I think it was sometime in junior high though I needed them mug earlier than that. I used to cheat on the eye exams they gave us at school so I wouldn't have to wear glasses.

I got my first pair of glasses when I was almost ten years old and will probably need to wear them until the day I die!
I occasionally wear contacts but I can't wear them to work as I can't see a computer screen properly and unfortunately I'm not a good candidate for laser surgery due to the severity of my vision.
