9th grade. I was chubby, wore huge glasses, and braces, and was still wearing my older brother's hand-me-downs. It was a terrible, terrible, sight. *shudder*
When did you look your most awkward? (And post-partum doesn't count!)

13. I had a perm that made me look like a poodle stuck it's paw in a socket and I have a New Kids on the Block t-shirt on in my birthday photo. 'Nuff said.

Mine was 9th grade as well. I was chubby (lost 15 pounds the next summer after watching a dance recital video of myself...) and my hormones were out of control. Also, my hair is curly, but at that point I hadn't heard of a straightener OR the right type of product to make the curls pretty. I had glasses (until last year when I had Lasik, couldn't do contacts) that were not cute! And the worst part? I thought I was actually pretty adorable at the time...

I had a mushroom cut when I was in grade 4 and 5.... and then my hair was 1" so I could spike it in Grade 6 and 7... and then I grew out of it... Thank Gosh!!

I was fug from childhood to early college. I was way too skinny, with bad hair, thick eyebrows, and pale skin. Not cute.

8th grade. Black, thick eyebrows, blonde hair, skin like a ghost, way too skinny. It was not good.

6th to 8th grade. Oh man, braces, glasses, frizzy curly hair... Geez. It was... bad. Then, about halfway through I entered the beginning of my goth phase so add black lipstick and little swirly designs in black eyeliner all over my face to that.
It makes me giggle just thinking about it.

8th grade. My mom convinced me to chop all my hair off because it's easier to maintain. What she didn't tell me was that I'd look like a boy.

@Rubies: don't make me bust out the pregnancy pics! seriously. 50lbs does something crazy to face, body, everything. It took about 9 months to finally lose all of it. -.-

Early teens. I was tall, skinny, long legs and had no figure at all. I also wore a retainer, big braids and glasses. I used to slump over and had terrible posture, ugh thinking about it makes me cringe.

7th grade.
I was homeschooled, so I wore a lot of penny loafers and khakis.
I was obsessed with the Seattle Mariners at the time, so I had braces that were constantly Mariners colors (how embarrassing). I wasn't allowed to wear makeup then yet either, and had a weird boyish haircut.

Ages 11 - 16, I was SO awkward with huge, plastic-frame glasses and a pizza face! Oh, and a bit chubby too...

Junior high was an awkward 3 years for me ... in high school I learned about makeup, and blow-dryers, and it was a very good thing!
