My friend brought me to her church as they were getting ready for their Christmas service and hubs introduced himself. As it turned out, his fraternal twin brother and I used to work together at the Gap AGES ago!

We met in college while taking accounting. It was kind of weird that we were both taking the class, especially in the summer. I wanted to get ahead with my degree and decided to take the course as soon as I had the sophomore status that was required. Hubby failed a course that he needed to pass in order to graduate, and he decided to take accounting thinking that it would benefit him in the real world. We all had assigned seats, except for him because he enrolled last minute. The professor put him in my group, and he sat directly across from me. We started dating almost a month later. We have been together for 6.5 years.

we met in business school, on the first day of orientation. we ended up sitting next to each other at lunch and started talking. then we got assigned to the same core classroom, and had assigned seating where he was right behind me. we couldn't avoid each other, so we gave in and started dating!

Crazy that you worked with his brother!
I was at home in bed when I first "met" DH. I checked my blackberry first thing in the am when I woke and saw a communication request from Eharmony from him!

At a Hangar on base. Apparently DH remembers when I checked in to the command. He admited later on to calling "dibs on the new girl"! Ugh Thats Navy guys for ya! LOL
I honestly dont remember him until later than what he remembers meeting me. He may have called "dibs" but little did he know I was also married at the time. Years later...I guess he got what he wanted! Haha

@Rubies: Ok, this is getting scary! I met my SO at temple.
I like going to services so I'd go regularly. Hubby (who belonged to my temple his whole life too, but he's 5 years older so we never met) was there to pray for a friend who was about to be deported. His friend, and all the rest of his friends, have been friends with my brother forever, so I went to talk to them and say hi.... and of course to meet the cute Jewish guy they were with

We met through mutual friends at the beach. It was the "bridal party weekend" where all the groomsmen and bridesmaids were meeting one another. We met that weekend, walked down the aisle together at the wedding, danced awkwardly at the reception and didn't think anything of it. Two years later, we were thrown together by the same friends and that's when we started dating.

@mrsjazz: that's so cute to me for some reason, so different from the typical places
We met at work, he had graduated & I was in my last year of college, so he wasn't my boss exactly, but he was higher up. We ended up working for the company but in different areas for the first few years of our relationship & engagement.

@Rubies: @chopsuey119: He happened to be sitting directly behind me in our class picture! That pic was definitely displayed at our wedding! We grew up together and started dating in 11th grade. Now, I'm a preschool teacher and I definitely have had thoughts of "I wonder if any of these kids will get married to each other one day?!" haha

We met at his college when my acappella group went there for a concert his acappella group was hosting. SO geeky... except now it's cool... 10 years later!! People always made fun of acappella geeks -- choreography, the coordinating outfits, all of it -- and were embarassed to go to our concerts... but now it's all cool because of Glee and The Sing-Off. I watch The Sing-Off because there are groups I've heard of, but I boycott Glee. I did it before it was cool, people.

@lilteacherbee That is so sweet!
I met DH when I was 9. He and my cousin were school friends, and my cousin invited him over to dinner at Grandma's house.
