My mom called me at work today and asked if I could stop by her work on my lunch break. I said sure not a problem and asked what for, she said she had a couple things for me. Well it turns out those couple things were 4 Target sacks of stuff we still needed off our registry that she knew about! I was shocked! I realize how lucky I am to have a supportive mom and one so close by.
Anyone else have a mom go overboard?

My mom is sooo sweet and supportive and tries to buy for us all the time and now that we have baby on the way I let her! Haha! My mom is one of my absolute best friends now - I'm so thankful for her! That was so thoughtful of her!

Aww. Moms are the best!!!!!!!
Mine buys LO lots of clothes (I made her stop until LO outgrows what she has), sends care packages, always writes me checks because she wants me to have "allowance" since I'm a SAHM. I told her I can spend freely and don't feel bad about not bringing home money, but she still writes them. -.-
I haven't deposited the one she gave me when I went home last week and probably won't

So sweet! My mom acutally specifically told me she is going to wait to give me a gift until after my shower so I can let her know what's left that I really need/want. She also offered to buy us the expensive rocker I want from PB Kids. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to take her up on that : )

Awww!! Sounds like my mom!
I live overseas. I flew home last December when I was 24 weeks pregnant and my mom probably spent $300 on baby stuff while I was there for 4 weeks. I've also gotten 3-4 packages since she was born 5 months ago full of stuff. It's her first and only grandbaby, so she's a little excited. lol

@coacheswife123: My mom says she does the same for my sisters so it's my turn, and that she has always spent more on them due to them being less well off than us, but I still feel guilty! She is my best friend too, I call her and email her at least every day just to catch up!

@MamaMoose: yeah this stuff was in addition to the 2 shower gifts she has already given me, the woman is nuts about her grand kids....which I'm 100% thankful for!
@zippylef: ahhh overseas, that has to be tough, glad you are able to see each other and send packages like that, make her seem "closer" to me!
@artbee: I ask myself this question all the time, so thankful we have both sets still and all are healthy!

My mom has a key to our house and every few days it seems like I'll come home and there'll be something new for baby sitting on our counter that she dropped off LOL.
