Not safe for work website - but oh man, this made me laugh. http://dlisted.com/2014/02/02/these-two-are-somebodys-parents/
If you can't click through, one of the jonas brothers had a baby and he live tweeted the birth, sponsored by Dreft. Yikes.

I saw that! I think its weird and screams that they are desperate for money. I also saw on people.com they were renting out there house for a week for 20,000!!! WEIRD.

So weird...did he blow through all his money from his career and reality TV show already? or are they that desperate for attention?

Not a fan of sponsorships, let alone something so personal and (to me) private. But that article was pretty brutal, and crossed the line for me.

I havent read the article yet but I think live tweeting a sponsored birth is a bit much

I never would have thought that a Jonas Brother would be a D-lister! She looks really good for just having delivered... heck, she looks better than I would for a night on the town.

Weird to have your labor/birth tweets sponsored. Guess he needs to bring in some money with The Jonas Brothers being broken up now and he most likely won't have the same amount of fame as Joe.
@mrbee: Guess you don't read Dlisted. This is normal commentary for this site.

@mrsjazz: that last paragraph where they refer to her post-childbirth "twat" seemed over the top to me. Plus it didn't seem that funny... although maybe there's an in joke in there that I'm missing.

@mrbee: I think the joke in that last paragraph is that a lot of people think that Danielle is Kevin's beard and that he's really gay.
Dlisted is not for everyone!

@mrbee: to be honest, I didn't read his commentary on this particular blog post -- otherwise I probably would've linked to a different article about it, this is just where I saw it! His humor often skirts the edge of my tolerance level - but I often find it funny.

I've never heard of that site before, and I'm kinda glad. Reading that made me feel dirty, like maybe I need a shower now.

@Boogs:
same. I don't read things like that and don't find that type of "humor" funny either. It actually kind of took away from the shock factor of the birth-tweeting... Although I wasn't even that shocked by it.

@Boogs: @Mrs. Pen: yeah, I apologize! If I had read the text, I would've searched for a different link to post. By the time someone pointed it out and I reread it, it was too late to edit.

@scg00387: No biggie, might have been hard to find a nice one for this situation.

@scg00387: haha no problem. Definitely wasn't directed at you, but the content of the site. Like mrsjazz said, that site obviously isn't for everyone

I haven't read that particular article but I could not believe it when I heard that Dreft was the official tweet of their child's birth. What the heck. He's gotta have AT LEAST a few million dollars -- are they that attention hungry? Did they squander it?

@mrsjazz: ooooooh, hahaha. I was wondering what was up with that and the cup ejaculation comment? I guess I get it.
D-Listed are harsh like that, which is why I would never post my life online because its *asking* to be criticized, and as parents they should have respected their baby's birth more than to put her in a position where people may call her a "twat".
So odd. I would never ruin such a precious moment of my entire life by being so shallow about it I really don't think it is as special when you're live tweeting it to a bunch of people who are talking shit about you anyway.

I've always wondered how far that thinking goes though... are bloggers and forum members also fair game because they share their lives online?

@mrbee: I hope not regular forum members, but sadly I think for some that thinking does sometimes go that far.
