I've never gotten one but kinda want to wrote our vacay. I've seen some that look fab and some that look awful. Any advice ? And what's the difference between versa spa and mystic tan?!

I had a TERRIBLE one from a Mystic Tan booth. In my experience, the best ones are the ones done by hand. Those booths just don't give you even coverage.
I haven't had one in years and years, though. So maybe they've improved.

I've never done the booth but I've had it done by hand with the sprayer thing a few times and it's always turned out great.

I've had spray tans before (the ones done by a booth, not by hand) and the results were so-so. I much prefer doing it myself with the st tropez tanning mouse. It's so easy to apply and looks amazingly natural!

@coacheswife123: I have done the versa tan with great results. I also use tan towels to make it last longer. I usually do spray tan for vacay and special events since I'm so pale

For special occasions, I go to a lady who does airbrush tans by hand and it's never looked bad. But recently I bought St. Tropez and absolutely love it. It's more natural looking in my opinion.

Mystic is way too hit or miss for me. One time and it was great and one time I looked like an Oompa Loompa. I got an airbrush tan before my wedding and it was amazing! That's definitely the route I would go.

I've done spray and mystic. The spray was better than the mystic, but the mystic was actually pretty good. (I did the lightest they had.)

I have done mystic, versa, and used self-tanner (St. Tropez). To be honest, I think I like the St. Tropez the best! I can control how dark it is and it is a nice brown color on my olive skin. However, it takes time to apply and definitely isn't as "easy" as simply getting a spray tan.
I had absolutely zero issues with mystic tan, though, and used to get them often. My only issue with them is that they came off when I sweat at the gym, and I always had a stupid sports bra "farmers tan" because that's where my tan came off.
Versa was way too dark for me. I preferred the color I got from my level 1 mystic.

In my opinion, if you want a spray tan only have it done by a person. Machines always come out looking streaky/splotchy.

I got an airbrush tan once (done by a person) and it looked great! Too bad it cost like $60 and it only lasted a week.
I don't tan at all naturally, so it was nice to have some colour though! It looked super natural.

I've got an spray tan twice done by a person and LOVED how it looked! It was so easy! The worst is day 1 when you look like an oompa loompa, but then it fades and you look fantastic. So make sure you do it a couple days early, haha!
