We do a combo. My LOs always have 2 weeks when they have breaks, so we’ve usually gone away for a few days or a week, and then hire a babysitter for at least the mornings of the other week. I’m home, but I’ve always been either WAH or a student, so I am a bit flexible, but I still need at least half a work day every day when the LOs are off.

This is our first year having a spring break since DS1 is in kindergarten. We're also doing a combo. My inlaws are coming in to watch the boys Mon-Weds and then we're doing a staycation in Chicago Thurs-Sat. I wasn't able to take off the entire week to do something more fun b/c work is psycho right now. But a few days will be fun.

LO's daycare has a week off for spring break. My parents came to watch LO. The daycare is also closed a couple of weeks in the summer and a range of holidays, and with all the days he's been sick it is just not feasible for me to take off every time they are closed.

I voted other since we WILL be doing a combo of everything (oldest starts K this Sept). I don't have a ton of PTO (or money), so we're def not going on vacation every time she's off. It's going to be a combo of me, DH and grandma care. Not opposed to signing her up for day/mini camps if something comes up that she enjoys.
ETA: Currently pre-school has coverage through school breaks.

I'm not sure what we'll do when DD is in Kindergarten. Unfortunately Spring Break always falls at my busiest time of year at work so I'll never be able to take the week off.

Last year we sent the kids to grandmas house. This year older DS will go to camp and the little one will just stay in daycare. It’s one of my busy times so I never get to take vacation during the month of April.

My son is just out but we just go about our normal schedule right now. My husband works and I'm a stay at home mom. Idk how itll be when the kids get older.

I mostly SAH so we go to daytime appointments like well visits and have play dates.

Last year was our first spring break. We went away on a babymoon. This year we are taking a hybrid approach. My husband is taking two days off. I'm taking one. And my son will visit his grandparents for the other two.

Our aftercare offers full day coverage for the week M-Th so she'll be attending those days. Friday I'll take off.

LO1 (school age) could go to extended care but there's no option for LO2 (preschool age). Usually there are camps for school age kids but our district is small and our break doesn't line up with the surrounding areas this year so there aren't any camp options.
DH is taking the week off. I'm planning to take W-F. I plan to take a vacation somewhere but DH keeps telling me he might need to work and I haven't decided where I would take the kids alone.

My spring break is a different week than my kids' spring break, so for their spring break they will either be in a full day camp or they will be with a sitter all day (either way, it's super $$$ for us). Then we're going OOT for my spring break and they are going to miss a week of school.

Either DH or I work from home Mon-Wed, then I usually take off Thurs-Fri so we can do some fun things. Go see a movie, go to the zoo, hit some local attractions. DH has limited vacay time, so we don't go anywhere usually.

I am a teacher married to a teacher, so we all have it off. I feel very fortunate about that.

This year we’re all going to our family’s vacation home on the opposite coast. DH has to work remotely 4/5 days and I have to work the whole time but I’m only part time anyway. The grandparents will join us for the week to help with the kids, but they need less supervision there then at home.

This year is our first spring break as DS is in kindergarten. I’m on maternity leave and I’m taking the kids to my moms. We are staying a few extra days as there are some family events happening.
I don’t know how future years will look when I’m at work.

I’m a teacher so I have it off. My husband takes it off and we go away somewhere with the kids, usually Disney

LO’s daycare is open during spring break for the school age kids. I feel so lucky.

Daycare was open 4/5 days but had one off for spring break (mainly for the teachers which I respect)! We both took Friday off and had a three musketeer day of fun
