So, I just did the required facebook photo update for father's day. This is my cover photos...and it's from 6 years ago and my SIL has had four kids since then.

Seriously...what's wrong with the photo? And where the hell is my kid to be included?? With 12 kids in the family...can't I have just one?

(DH and I weren't married yet...that's why I'm alone at center surrounded by a million kids)

    (rant over)

Well, I'm out this month. I got AF during the night. Actually I woke up with the WORST cramps. Thanks body. Ugh.

Although I guess it should be a good thing - this cycle was 44 days long. My last one was 52 days. So maybe my body is starting to get back on track after being on BCP for so long.

  7. MaryM

    pomelo / 5129 posts

@MrsADS: I hope that means your cycles are getting shorter. FX maybe the next one can follow that trend.

Just in case my time doesn't come, the blond niece has told me she'll take care of me when I get old.

I *think* I am in the TWW.

How does this sound for timing?
CD 11: positive cheapie, negative digital = BD just in case
CD 12: blaring positive cheapie and positive digital= BD
CD 13: another blaring positive cheapie, didn't check with digital since the cheapie looked the same as the day before, intense ovulation pains= no BD (kind of kicking myself there but I wasn't sure how long my surge would be and DH was too tired.)
CD 14: negative digital and negative cheapie. cm dried up (sorry.) = BD for good measure.

Wow, this is pretty much a novel.

Yay! I finally get to join after no periods ever after baby!

    Cycle day: 16

    Cycle #: 1

Ovulation & POAS dates: ovulation hasn't happened yet, but it looks like it will this month finally after no ovulation for a year postpartum. POAS maybe the 26th?

    Baby #: 2

Your game plan this month: try and have some nookie! Preferably today and over the next couple of days, since it looks like I might ovulate.

Chart link: No charting, just use opks.

@KelLeeLeee: I hope the same for you, too! Do you mean you think 12 or 13 was the day I o'ed or the day I should have dtd?

Eta: I read your comment again and realized you were talking about the day I o'ed-- I hope we are right since we didn't BD yesterday!

Hi Ladies. Not quite ready to Join but I have some questions.

background: I am 10 months PP and started temping again this month. I've had 6 cycles PP and have all been around 35 days. We are hoping to TTC August/September. Did any of your cycles change PP? I have always had late ovulation but usually around CD 16-18. This month it is CD22. If my cycle length stays the same then my LP should be ok. Is it normal to O so late with longer cycles? I had a short LP when TTC LO and took B6 a few months before conceiving. I'm hoping my LP is ok this time but I'm worried about such a late O. Anyways, just seeing if any of your cycles changed PP and if a late O will cause issues.

So my period is due next Thursday, but I have a little bit of pink spotting. So hoping it's implantation!

  28. MrsB2012

    nectarine / 2466 posts

@delight: I only had 2 cycles PP, but on my first, I didn't O until CD23 and then only had a 8 day LP. I ended up taking B complex and B6 for the next cycle and I O'd on CD 18. I think as long as your LP is a good length, then it shouldn't be any problem O'ing later in the cycle.

So I tried Vitex this month after my last two nutty cycles, and turns out I got a positive OPK today at CD 16! 10ish days ahead of normal! I'm excited, looks like I'll get to POAS this month after all, now off to wait for the temp spike. So if you're thinking of trying Vitex, so far my vote is go for it.

  31. Anya

    nectarine / 2784 posts

@drjolene: great! I got pregnant the cycle after I started taking vitex, so I'm a fan as well

  32. MrsKRB

    nectarine / 2465 posts

@drjolene: @Anya: is Vitex supposed to make you ovulate stronger or just earlier?

  33. Anya

    nectarine / 2784 posts

@KelLeeLeee: well I didn't take it for O, I took it because I was spotting in my LP and it can help that, but incidentally I ended up O'ing on CD14 that cycle which never happens for me. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not

    @intotheocean: any news?

  37. drjolene

    cherry / 107 posts

@KelLeeLeee: Supposedly it can do either or both, but from what I've read, works best if you have long or irregular cycles. If you have normalish cycle, sometime it makes things. It can also lengthen LP in some cases.

@simplyfelicity: I'm going to test tomorrow. Last night I just could not sleep and all I had to do was go pee all night before I realized I ruined my testing chances lol

@intotheocean: Fingers super crossed for you and that you can get an answer one way or the other after this wonky cycle. Good luck!
