I need a star for our Christmas tree! I always wait till December then it's too late.
Where did you buy yours? I want a nice one that will last our life time. Needs to light up. Thanks!

Mine came from target. But my parents' angel came from a Walmart when I was a kid and it still lights up great 25 years later.

I got an absolutely adorable one from HomeGoods for like $25 last year- it's metal and is covered in jingle bells. They have such cute Christmas stuff in there and some of it is already out- I would start looking now since they don't have the same stock from day to day.

Why is it that stars are so difficult to find, lol? I can find anything but that!
You guys are handy though, what if you found a lighting fixture and converted it? I wouldn't limit myself to looking specifically at holiday decor.

Mine came from Target too. All the décor I bought 3 years ago, they're still good! BUT, it's b/c 1 year there was no kid, 1 year she was a newborn, and last year she wasn't that interested.... So we shall see, haha.

Target has some great ones! I would check them out once they start putting them out.

I love our handmade stained-glass star tree topper from Etsy. It doesn't light up but we finagle one of the strand lights behind it to shine through it.

@regberadaisy: find one yet? I'm leaning towards the Moravian Star. http://www.ourstatestore.com/moravian-star-light-tree-topper-north-carolina-christmas

Pier 1: it's a hot gold sequined mess up close, but up on the tree it looks fine.
