Yes! I've had three boxes, the first one was a total bust but I think I wasn't descriptive enough on what I wanted. The second and third I kept everything! My fourth is scheduled for next month.

@winniebee: I want to try these, but am uncertain how much I want to spend. Is the box a few hundred dollars or seem reasonable?
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@NorthStar: you get 5 pieces each time and specify your price ranges. Mine stayed within the ranges but was 200 total (which for 5 pieces one of which was a dress I thought wasn't bad)!

@KT326: I kind of want to up my order to every 2-3 weeks but I can't justify it

I just signed up this week and get my first box next month! I'm excited! My expectations are low for the first box as I hear it gets better as they "get to know you"
@winniebee: how was the quality vs price on your items? That seems to be biggest complaint in reviews.

I love the idea of it - but I'm so picky about clothes and especially fit that I feel it wouldn't work out well for me.
I really want to see what you got!!
pomegranate / 3438 posts
@winniebee: same here! I'm trying to keep it to every 6-8 weeks...
@runnerd: the quality of what I've gotten has been on par with the price. The prices are definitely more than what I would probably spend if I was out shopping for myself. But my thought process is that I'm in my 30's, I work in a professional environment, it's time to step up my wardrobe!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@runnerd: they are all boutique pieces. When you break it down it's less than 50 bucks a piece and one is an asymmetric zip cardigan and another is a dress. There's a sweater that I'm meh about its just sort of plain and I feel like I could get it at the gap, but 40 bucks is still a gap price and its something I will wear. Just something I could easily buy for myself. I'm doing this to find interesting pieces to refresh my wardrobe!

I did it for a few months but it seemed to get worse every month. The last time there was nothing anywhere close to my taste and even stuff I had said I didn't like. I think I just got unlucky with the stylist. I also wasn't super impressed with the quality.

I wanted to try it. Then I saw this : http://www.newlywedsonabudget.com/2014/08/stitch-fix-scam-cancel-stitch-fix-now/
I want to try Golden Tote!

@winniebee: I did it but I wasn't in love with future fixes. There is a BST group on FB if you want to keep discount but don't love an item.

I love it! Have a box coming Monday. I've also had good luck with other boxes. I don't have time to shop so Ive really enjoyed it! I've never kept all 5 items, but I hope to get a 5/5 soon!

I did a couple and loved some stuff, hated others. They were NEVER wrong on sizing and I need some jeans so I'm thinking of getting the subscription back so my stylist can help flesh out my fall wardrobe/find me a good pair of jeans!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Mrs. Sunshine: yes I was definitely surprised that the sizes were all good.

@winniebee: I did give feedback and a lot of descriptions and I had a Pinterest board! I did get a couple things I liked and still have but overall it wasn't worth it for me. The family member who recommended it is still really happy and my two sisters tried it, one liked it and one didn't.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MOMTOLITTLEB: I wonder how much of it is dependent on which stylist is assigned to you!

@winniebee: You've convinced me to finally try! I've been itching but haven't been sure if they send good stuff.

@winniebee: I think since you like everything you should request the same stylist next time!

I've been doing it for over a year. I really like it, and it depends on the month as some are better than other, but there is usually something I like. I have one stylist I have been working with for most of the time, and she's pretty darn good. She gets me. I feel like the service is hit or miss though based on some of what I've seen other people receive.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BKCaribBaby: I need to look into it but can you request the same stylist if they are working out well?
clementine / 912 posts
I did a few times before I got pregnant. I loved it. My sister tried it too and had so much more success after she made and shared a Pinterest board. After this baby is born, I'm totally going to do it again.
pear / 1672 posts
@winniebee: If it's working out, the same person will keep styling you. At first I had requested someone again, but I never got her. Then I kept enjoying the fixes I got from the one I have now, and she was consistently styling me from then on.

@beloved: I was on the BST page on FB and I kept hearing how people were finding the exact same items at TJ Maxx for less.
nectarine / 2932 posts
Stitch fix will price match if you find the exact item (color, number, etc.) at a reputable source.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Littlebit: that's awesome! So at tj Max or something?!
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
The thing that keeps me from trying it is that you can't price match because they change the labels on the clothes. How do you know if you're getting a decent deal?
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@winniebee: yes, but have you been able to actually find those brands in a store or search for them?
My understanding is that they take the labels off, put on other ones so you can't price compare.
clementine / 912 posts
@BandDmommy: I know and I'm sure they're great. I just didn't want to spend that much on clothes that I would only be able to wear for such a short amount of time.

I love stitchfix. The maternity options are amazing - most are empire waist dresses, maxi skirts, and shirts that don't necessarily look like maternity things. I kept my entire box of maternity stuff

@winniebee: your items are cute!! I'm ready for my box to arrive!
@KT326: haha yea that basically is why I signed up. I turned 30 this week actually and have had several convos lately about how I have to start building up a better grown up wardrobe I always talk myself out of stuff in store, so I'm hoping I'll fall in love with items enough to keep them.
pomegranate / 3438 posts
@runnerd: I'm the same way! I hate shopping for myself because I always talk myself out of something. But I've gotten a lot of compliments on the outfits I've gotten. What's nice is that for my third box I requested items to go with what I got in my second box. So now I have some mix and match options. I also love the style cards they give you. I'm terrible with accessories so they help a ton! I even keep them in my purse in case I do get the urge to shop...

I tried it for 3 shipments. I kept a few things, but felt a lot of the clothing was cheaply made. It wasn't worth it for me.
